As a survivor of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, I find it very painful each time there is a similar emergency and the same mistakes are made. During Hurricane Sandy, NYC's 9-1-1 system took 20,000 calls per hour and was incapable of scaling up to meet the demand. To address this issue I created EmResBot which is an Emergency Response Bot that 1) scales up instantly to meet any demand and 2) uses guided A.I. to automate disaster response.
