In this ever-changing world of public safety, knowing how to identify a subtle but toxic culture could be disastrous if not appropriately addressed. Hence, some agencies find themselves in trouble, such as losing public trust or consent decrees. Cultural change does not have to have a negative connotation when done correctly. Understanding an organization’s culture can be challenging to make it the “right culture” for everyone.
