Aiki was founded by firefighters because we know that our job is to make critical decisions in 300 seconds or less when the consequence of failure is death or catastrophic loss. Across the nation first responders don’t have information to make those decisions. The International Fire Code requires buildings to give the fire department Emergency Plans, but it falls back on the authority having jurisdiction to implement a standard, program and process. They don’t have time or resources to develop that, but Aiki did.
