Overview
A single probe, whole-body ultrasound solution.
Butterfly iQ+ is designed to make ultrasound easy to use. Once connected to our iOS or Android app, select from 21 presets in seconds with the swipe of a finger — and start scanning.
Technology ahead of its time.
Butterfly iQ+ is powered by our next-gen, Ultrasound-on-Chip™, which allows us to push the limits of what’s possible.
- Faster frame rates.
Patented on-chip digital micro-beamforming enabling 15% faster frame rates and 60% faster pulse repetition frequency. - Optimized beamforming.
1.75D array beamforming for 85% reduction in elevation beam width. - Cutting edge efficiency.
Innovative low-noise, low-power consumption semiconductor process and optimized electronics with power efficient FPGA.
Sharp, fast imaging you need.
Butterfly iQ+ is designed with cutting edge chip technology to provide truly sharp imaging powered by even faster processing power.
- Cardiac
True-to-form color flow.
Get the clarity you need with color that shows true hemodynamic flow. - Lung
Ultra clear lung imaging.
Powered by the world’s only Ultrasound-on-Chip™ technology, the iQ+ helps you identify A lines, B lines and pleural irregularities for clearer, faster insights. - Bladder
Measure bladder volume in seconds.
With digital micro-beamforming on chip capabilities, the iQ+ gives you automated bladder volume calculations with 3D visualizations in seconds, so you can make faster and more confident decisions.
Densely packed with capabilities.
Butterfly supports your care delivery by regularly updating our easy-to-use app with powerful advanced imaging capabilities.
- Storage
Unlimited HIPAA-compliant storage.
Scan, upload, and store all your studies in one place. Access patient studies on your phone or tablet anytime using the secure Butterfly Cloud. - Collaboration
Share studies safely and easily.
Text or email de-identified studies directly to colleagues for a consult or to patients so they stay informed. - Modes
1 probe. 6 imaging modes. 21 presets.
Scan using B-mode, M-mode, Color Doppler, Power Doppler, Pulsed Wave Doppler, Biplane, and Fetal Heart Sounds. Select from presets such as Lung, Cardiac, Abdomen, and more with just a tap of a finger. - Advanced imaging
Improve precision with Biplane Imaging™.
See short and long axis on screen simultaneously with the world’s first POCUS Biplane Imaging™. Combined with Needle Viz™ this unique dual-imaging mode helps you perform intricate in-plane procedures such as vascular access, nerve blocks and musculoskeletal injections, with accuracy and control. - Telemedicine
Remote ultrasound made possible.
Using TeleGuidance™, you can now perform bedside ultrasound remotely. Provide real-time guidance in seconds by connecting with a novice user or a peer directly from the Butterfly iQ+ app.
Details
Focused cardiac assessment.
With 3 presets dedicated to cardiac imaging, Butterfly iQ+ can give you the confidence to make quick bedside decisions in a large range of patient types. Is there a pericardial effusion? Does this patient have systolic heart failure? Is there organized cardiac activity? In fact, cardiac activity with POCUS has been shown to be the variable most associated with survival after cardiac arrest1.
Lung evaluation.
The assessment of patients with acute shortness of breath has always been a cornerstone of Emergency Medicine, and lung ultrasound can help clinicians rapidly and accurately identify many of the common causes of dyspnea, including lung lesions consistent with COVID-19. With imaging that auto-optimizes with depth, the ability to assess A lines, B lines and pleural lining in one sweep is now possible by Butterfly iQ+.
Peripheral and central line placement.
Ultrasound guidance has been shown to improve success rates, reduce the number of attempts and decrease the complications associated with CVC insertion2.With new Needle Viz™ technology the Butterfly iQ+ makes it easier to identify the needle and get the control needed for central venous catheterization, as well as peripheral line placements.
FAST exams.
Focused assessment with sonography in trauma (FAST) is a protocol to guide clinician investigation for internal bleeding. The FAST preset was developed in conjunction with emergency room clinicians to balance the frame rate needed to identify pericardial effusion, and the resolution/penetration needed for rapid evaluation of the peritoneal cavity, all on one probe.
